Weekly Texas Hay Report

   Compared to last report:  Alfalfa sold steady to instances 5.00 
higher; other hay classes remained fully steady.  Demand remains good as 
supply remained scarce leaving brokers on the hunt for hay.  Coastal 
Bermuda producers in North and East Texas report movement is good but 
around ten inches of rain has made getting into fields difficult.  Most 
of the producers hope to start sprigging fields as soon as it dries out 
enough. Prices for hay and pellets quoted per ton except where noted.
