Weekly Texas Hay Report

   Compared to last report: Hay trades were mostly steady to firm.  
Trading activity moderate on light demand.  A wide variety of hay quality 
is on the market from sporadic weather events across all regions.  Large 
varieties in quality have effected hay pricing and demand.  The Panhandle 
saw dryer weather this week accompanied by the first freeze of the year.  
According to Texas Agrilife, wheat farmers in North Texas are replanting 
due to sorry stands from dry weather and armyworms.  Prices for hay and 
pellets quoted per ton except where noted.
