Oklahoma Hay Market Report

Alfalfa trade remains extremely light with supplies cleaned up and weather
delaying first cutting. A few loads of first cutting was baled this week but
received rain damage. Demand mostly moderate for new crop. No market has been
established for new crop. Topsoil and subsoil moisture mostly adequate to
surplus and conditions are favorable for exceptional first cutting yields.

Market News continues to maintain an online hay directory for both in-state
and out-of-state hay producers. The directories are on the ODAFF homepage
at www.oda.state.ok.us. Producers wishing to list hay are encouraged to call
at 1-405-522-3753 or email jack.carson@ag.ok.gov.
