Compared to last week: Hay prices sold generally steady. New hay
sales are very limited again this week. Ranchers are still moving
cattle to summer pasture and range and producers continue to be busy
with planting season. Demand remains light on light supplies. New crop
contracts are starting to show up and can be seen below. Hay fields
across the state continue to look good. It is getting close to first
cutting in many eastern locations and producers are starting to look
at the weather forecast closely as they ready to cut. All prices are
dollars per ton and FOB unless otherwise noted.
