Colorado Hay Report

Compared to last week, trade activity and demand moderate. According
to the U.S Drought Monitor’s High Plains Summary released November 19,
2019, drought in the High Plains region is limited to southern areas—
parts of Colorado and Kansas. However, in areas experiencing drought, the
situation continued to worsen. According to the NASS Colorado Crop
Progress Report for week ending November 17, 2019, 4th cutting alfalfa
hay is 90 percent harvested. Stored feed supplies were rated 2 percent
short, 82 percent adequate, and 16 percent surplus. The next available
report will be Thursday, December 5, 2019. All prices reported are FOB
at the stack or barn unless otherwise noted. Prices reflect load lots of
hay. If you have hay for sale or need hay, use the services of the
Colorado Department of Agriculture website: www.coloradoagriculture.com.
