Weekly New Mexico Hay Summary

   No recent sales to compare to.  This is the first hay report of the season.
Trade active, demand good.  In the southern and southwestern regions, most are
done with their first cutting and going into the second.  The eastern region
is in their first cutting.  Dry conditions remain dry in most parts of the
state.
 
Eastern region:
Alfalfa Large Square Bales:  Premium and Supreme: 200.00-210.00 per ton
delivered to dairies.

Alfalfa Small Square Bales:  Premium and Supreme: Bundle 300.00 per ton.

Large Bales Wheat Hay:  110.00-130.00 per ton.

Southeastern regions:

Southern and Southwestern region:

Alfalfa: Large Square Bales:  Premium and Supreme 185.00-200.00 per ton
delivered to dairies.

Small Bales Alfalfa; Premium and Supreme quality: three tie 220.00 per
ton, out of state hay 230.00-240.00 per ton.

Breadless Wheat hay: Large Square Bales 150.00 per ton.
