All prices per ton, unless noted, FOB the stack. Compared to last week: Alfalfa and grass sold mostly steady to 5.00 higher this past week. Demand is good, as wintery weather continues to hold on, with colder than normal temperatures and rain/snow mix. Interest is good to very good, as hay supplies are tightening up as we get closer to when we normally anticipate new crop being available. Best demand is seen for grinding quality hay and bedding materials. Very soft field and road conditons have created some logistical issues for both loading and delivering hay. All hay and straw sold by the ton FOB, unless otherwise noted. East River: Alfalfa: Premium: Large Squares, 180.00. Good: Large Squares, 155.00-165.00. Fair: Large Rounds, 140.00.
