Compared to last week: Hay prices sold steady to firm. Demand for hay remains good to very good. Supplies are very light. A couple back to back early spring snow storms dumped wet heavy snow across much of the state this week. Winter seems relentless for ranchers as many are having to continually buy more hay to make it to grass. With supplies running short many are looking to neighboring states for supplies. Delivered hay prices range from 175.00-210.00 in most cases. Straw supplies continue to run near zero. Straw prices sold steady on very light volume. All prices are dollars per ton and FOB unless otherwise noted.
