Oklahoma Hay Market Report

Alfalfa and hay trade movement has picked up a little with no rain in
most parts of the state, still mostly cow hay is moving fastest.  Wheat
hay across the state has been harvested.  Much more summer like
temperatures and have swept across the state brining temps into the
triple digits and expected to stay there thru next week.  Producers are
reporting that old crop hay is mostly cleaned up.  Market News continues
to maintain an online hay directory for both in-state and out-of-state
hay producers.  The directories are on the ODAFF homepage at

Alfalfa
Central Oklahoma:  Supreme Quality large squares 4X4X8 $160/ton FOB; Premium Quality large squares 4X4X8 $140/ton FOB; Utility quality large squares 4X4X8 $90/ton FOB.

Eastern Oklahoma:  No reported trades.  

Western Oklahoma:  No reported trades.  

Grass Hay 
Central Oklahoma:  Few trades of Supreme Quality large rounds $90/bale FOB; Most trades in the Good to Fair quality $45-$65/bale FOB;   
 
Western Oklahoma:  No trades reported.

Eastern Oklahoma:  No trades reported.

Wheat Hay 
Central Oklahoma:  Premium to Good quality large rounds $60/ton FOB; Fair to Utility quality large rounds $40-$45/ton FOB.

Western Oklahoma:  Fair quality large rounds $45/ton FOB.
 
Eastern Oklahoma:  No trades reported.
