Colorado Hay Report

  Compared to last week, trade activity and demand light.  According to 
the U.S Drought Monitor’s West Summary released December 17, 2019, in 
northern Utah and most of Colorado, light to moderate precipitation 
continued to provide drought relief, especially in the central and 
southern Rockies where a 1-category improvement was made in central 
Colorado and extreme northern New Mexico.  According to the USDA NRCS 
Colorado SNOTEL Snow/Precipitation Update Report for Thursday, December 
19, 2019, snow water equivalent basin index percentages were:  Gunnison 
113; Upper Colorado 121; South Platte 138; Laramie and North Platte 121; 
Yampa and White 126; Arkansas 133; Upper Rio Grande 123; San Miguel, 
Delores, Animas and San Juan 121.  This report will not be published on 
Thursday, December 26, 2019 and Thursday, January 2, 2020 due to the 
Christmas and New Year’s Holiday.  The next available report will be 
Thursday, January 9, 2020.  All prices reported are FOB at the stack or 
barn unless otherwise noted.  Prices reflect load lots of hay.  If you
