Week ending 12/20/19
***This report with not be published on Thu. Dec. 26, 2019 due to the Christmas holiday. The next publish date will be Thu. Jan. 2, 2020. ***
Winter weather covered the state this week. This encouraged a bit more
feeding but limited what little movement might have been planned. As has
been the case most of this fall nothing last long and a big warm up is
forecast which will have cattle and producers in the mud once again
before Christmas. Unlike several other states to the east and north
Missouri is fairing much better on hay supplies as the feeding season and
the official start to winter arrive. The supply of hay is moderate to
heavy, demand is light to moderate and prices are steady. The Missouri
Department of Agriculture has a hay directory available for both buyers
and sellers. To be listed, or to view the directory visit
http://mda.mo.gov/abd/haydirectory/ for listings of hay
