Week ending 12/06/19
Some producers are starting to feed some hay but many still have some
stockpiled pastures that will last a while as long as they don’t get snow
covered. Mud is becoming a problem as the ground has once again thawed
out making getting around a bit difficult. Unlike many neighboring states
hay supplies are in good shape prior to winter. Like normal a lot of fair
hay but the top quality hay is bit harder to find and requires more time
and effort to fine. The supply of hay is moderate to heavy, demand is
light to moderate and prices are steady. The Missouri Department of
Agriculture has a hay directory available for both buyers and sellers.
To be listed, or to view the directory visit
