Weekly East River South Dakota Hay Market

All prices per ton, unless noted, FOB the stack.

   Compared to last week:  Hay sales continue to be slow, with end-users very reserved
in their buying.  Demand and interest light as the hay supplies are still abundant and
the mostly open and mild winter has helped to reduce the need for additional supplemental
feeding.  Spring road weight restrictions have been put into place and have created some
logistcal issues.  All hay and straw sold by the ton FOB, unless otherwise noted.

   Alfalfa:  Supreme:  Large Squares, 160.00-165.00.  Premium:  Large Squares,
140.00-150.00.  Utility/Fair:  Large Rounds, 90.00.  Utility:  Large Squares, 80.00;
Large Rounds, 85.00. 

   Sun-cured Alfalfa pellets:  15 pct 145.00; 17 pct 150.00.  Alfalfa
Meal: 17 pct 155.00.

   Alfalfa/Grass Mix:  Premium:  Large Rounds, 110.00.

   Grass:  No Reported Sales.

   Straw:  Large Rounds, 40.00-45.00.

   Cornstalks:  No Reported Sales.
