Weekly East River South Dakota Hay Market

   Compared to last week:  Prices steady to weak on very light demand.  End-users
continue to be very reserved and selective when inquiring and buyer hay.   Spring-like
weather has created some logistical issues with soft road and yard conditions.  Some 
counties have posted spring road weight restrictions.  All hay and straw sold by the 
ton FOB, unless otherwise noted.

   Alfalfa:  Supreme:  Large Squares, 160.00-165.00.  Premium/Supreme:  Large Rounds,
100.00.  Premium:  Large Squares, 140.00-150.00.  Good:  Large Rounds, 75.00.  
Utility/Fair:  Large Rounds, 90.00.  Utility:  Large Squares, 80.00; Large Rounds, 85.00.  

   Sun-cured Alfalfa pellets:  15 pct 145.00; 17 pct 150.00.  Alfalfa
Meal: 17 pct 155.00.

   Alfalfa/Grass Mix:  Premium:  Large Rounds, 125.00.  Good:  Large Squares, 75.00.

   Grass:  Good:  Large Squares, 80.00.
