Week ending 04/14/2017 Farmers got back into the fields this week. Sun and wind helped to dry out some of the fields and many planters are seeing use now. Hay season is just around the corner with only a few short weeks before the first cutting of alfalfa will start. Grasses are also looking to be in good condition thus far. The supply of hay is moderate, demand is light and prices are steady to weak. The Missouri Department of Agriculture has a hay directory available for both buyers and sellers.
