Weekly East River South Dakota Hay Market

All prices per ton, unless noted, FOB the stack.

   Compared to last week:    No new reported hay sales for the past week, prices below are
from last week.  Hay market continues to be very quiet with extremely limited reported
trades.  Demand and interest is very light.  Several hay sellers are close to being sold 
out for the year.  Small rains across much of the trade area throughout the week has delayed
many row-crop famers in getting started on planing their 2017 corn crop.  All hay and straw 
sold by the ton FOB, unless otherwise noted.

   Alfalfa:   Good:  Small Squares, 5.00 per bale.  Utility:  Large Squares, 90.00.

   Sun-cured Alfalfa pellets:  15 pct 145.00; 17 pct 150.00.  Alfalfa
Meal: 17 pct 155.00.

   Alfalfa/Grass Mix:  Premium:  Large Squares, 130.00; Small Squares, 7.00 per bale.
Fair:  Large Squares, 80.00.

   Grass:  No Reported Sales.

   Straw:  No Reported Sales.

   Cornstalks:  No Reported Sales.
