Week ending 04/21/2017 Hay movement is very light as most producers looking at decent piles of hay that will be carried over for the winter feeding season. Still some hay donations heading to states affected by fires as they wait for grass growth to reoccur nearly everyone has fertilizer done for now. Some field work has been done in areas although there are still reports of areas to wet to work with more rain in the forecast for the next few days. Planting is much behind last year but only slightly less than the 5 year average. The supply of hay is moderate, demand is light and prices are steady to weak.
