Weekly East River South Dakota Hay Market

All prices per ton, unless noted, FOB the stack.

   Compared to last week:    Hay market continues to be very quiet with limited reported
trades.  Demand and interest is very light.  Several hay sellers are close to being sold 
out for the year.  Spring tillage is gearing up, as the insurance planting date for corn
in this area is Monday April 10th.  All hay and straw sold by the ton FOB, unless otherwise noted.

   Alfalfa:   Good:  Small Squares, 5.00 per bale.  Utility:  Large Squares, 90.00.

   Sun-cured Alfalfa pellets:  15 pct 145.00; 17 pct 150.00.  Alfalfa
Meal: 17 pct 155.00.

   Alfalfa/Grass Mix:  Premium:  Large Squares, 130.00; Small Squares, 7.00 per bale.
Fair:  Large Squares, 80.00.

   Grass:  No Reported Sales.

   Straw:  No Reported Sales.

   Cornstalks:  No Reported Sales.
