Missouri Weekly Hay Summary

This week was a week of record setting but not in the good way. Record rain 
falls, which resulted in record setting floods was the story across the 
southern half of the state. Farmers are needing to start haying but those 
thoughts were mostly put on the back burner as focus turned more to assuring 
survival of livestock and their own wellbeing. Road closures and even some 
communities were evacuated due to flooding. The supply of hay is moderate, 
demand is light and prices are steady to weak. The Missouri Department of 
Agriculture has a hay directory available for both buyers and sellers. To

per ton unless specified and on most recent reported sales price listed as 
round bales based generally on 5x6 bales with weights of approximately
