According to the U.S Drought Monitor Summary for May 1, 2018, 81.53 percent of the state falls in a D0-D4 Drought Category compared to 16.48 percent a year ago. Of those percentages, 53.65 percent falls into the D2-D4 categories. The NASS Colorado Crop progress report for week ending April 29, 2018, stored feed supplies were rated 3 percent very short, 15 percent short, 81 percent adequate, and 1 percent surplus. Pasture and range conditions percentages are 19 percent Very Poor, 25 percent Poor, 32 percent Fair, and 24 percent Good. The next available report will be Thursday, May 10, 2018.
