Colorado Hay Report

   Compared to last week, trade activity and demand moderate.  According 
to the U.S Drought Monitor’s High Plains Summary released March 31, 2020, 
average temperatures for the week were mostly above normal (2-to-8 
degrees) with greatest positive anomalies observed in northern North 
Dakota and eastern Kansas while the plains of eastern Colorado and 
Wyoming were slightly cooler. For the past 30-day period, precipitation 
was below normal across the Dakotas, eastern Wyoming, southeastern 
Colorado, and portions of western Kansas, while above-normal 
precipitation was observed across much of Nebraska, eastern Kansas, and 
portions of northeastern Colorado.  According to the USDA NRCS Colorado 
SNOTEL Snow/Precipitation Update Report for Thursday, April 2, 2020, snow 
water equivalent basin index percentages:  Gunnison 95; Upper Colorado 
109; South Platte 115; Laramie and North Platte 111; Yampa and White 111; 
Arkansas 99; Upper Rio Grande 100; San Miguel, Delores, Animas and San 
Juan 98.  The next available report will be Thursday, April 9, 2020.  All 
prices reported are FOB at the stack or barn unless otherwise noted.
