Weekly East River South Dakota Hay Market

All prices per ton, unless noted, FOB the stack.

Compared to last week: All classes of hay fully steady, on a
limited reported volume. Demand just moderate, overall. The mild
weather conditions are lessening the need for supplemental feed
which is allowing cow-calf producers to keep their cattle turned
out and grazing, whether it is on grass or stalk fields. As
the corn harvest is finished and the weather has been dry many
corn stalk bales are being made. All hay and straw sold by the ton
FOB, unless otherwise noted.
