Week ending Aug 30, 2019
Compared to last reported market baled hay sold steady. Demand was
moderate to good from local and out of state buyers. Some producers are
finishing second cutting of alfalfa and some are starting on third
cutting. In reality, this might be all of the cutting of hay the
producers will get harvested this season. Some signs from Mother Nature
are appearing that fall is in the air even thou the calendar says summer.
Note: “All prices are dollars per ton FOB the field or hay barn unless
otherwise noted.”
