Week ending 6/18/20
Farmers could not ask for much better weather than what has been around
since the previous report last week. To say a lot of hay has been baled
would be putting it mildly. Farmers have been out burning many gallons of
fuel and putting in long hours while the sun has been shinning. Several
farmers have completed haying and now only have bales to get hauled out
of the fields. Others with more acreage continue to work trying to beat
rains forecasted for the upcoming week. As normal a lot of hay coming to
the market now but movement is slow. Hay prices are mostly steady. The
supply of hay is moderate, and demand is light. The Missouri Department
