Missouri Weekly Hay Summary

Week ending 11/03/2017

   
   The growing season officially ended this week with a very hard freeze 
early week as temperatures dropped in to the 20’s in many areas of the 
state. Swings still remain though as near 80 is forecast for the weekend. 
Stock water supplies looking towards winter are still very much a concern 
in the southern half of the state. Hay movement remains slow, supplies are 
moderate, demand is light and prices are steady. The Missouri Department 
of Agriculture has a hay directory available for both buyers and sellers.
