Alfalfa trade mostly light to moderate. Demand was fairly good with a great deal of inquiry but few trades reported. Alfalfa prices mostly steady, up to 10.00 higher in central Oklahoma. Many parts of the state received much needed rain this week but amounts were not enough to lessen drought concerns. Third cutting alfalfa is close to completion. Much of central Oklahoma is expected to begin fourth cutting soon. Grass hay baling was very active this week in central and eastern counties. Grass hay trading was mostly moderate and most sales were local. Market News continues to maintain an online hay directory for both in-state and out-of-state hay producers.
