Hay trade mixed across area

In Nebraska and the East River area of South Dakota, alfalfa, grass hay, ground and delivered hay sold steady. Dehydrated pellets in the east sold steady to $7 higher and in the Platte valley sold $5 lower, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sept. 29. Prices given on per-ton basis, unless otherwise noted.
Eastern/central—Supreme alfalfa, large squares, $160; premium, large squares, $140-$150. Premium grass hay, large rounds, $100-$105; good, large rounds, $80-$95; good, large rounds of brome grass, $85; premium, small squares, $150. Oat hay, large rounds, $100.
