Week Ending Sept. 13, 2019
Prices were lower this week, reflecting the quality of hay and straw as most
of the best quality hay has moved through the market place. Warm (almost hot)
and wet weather has allowed forages to continue growing. This early fall
growth has encouraged producers to plan on harvesting one more round of hay.
Wheat straw is beginning to creep into Iowa markets.
