Week ending Sep 20, 2019
Compared to last week hay sold steady. Demand was moderate to good
from local buyers with very good demand from out of state buyers. There
are loads of small squares getting shipped to several eastern states. The
calendar says fall will begin next week, however snow has been reported
again to this office in some of the mountain ranges. One report said the
Big Horns looked really white this week. Valley video timed hay auction
is today (9/19) and the sale will be reported at
https://www.ams.usda.gov/mnreports/lsd_mars_2242.pdf it should be
completed by Friday. From here on out this report will be on the MARS
reporting system. If you have to old “txt” link as a favorite you will
have to go to https://www.ams.usda.gov/market-news/livestock-poultry-
grain click on hay, then the valley video hay auction and click the “PDF”
and you can save that as your new link. Note: “All prices are dollars per
