Week ending 9/06/19
Although there is still the likelihood of hot days, weather is really
starting to feel like fall is coming. Moisture and cooler nights has
grass growing and crops maturing. Although there is a lot of grain
fields that still need many hours of sun there has been some chopping
and even a little shelling in spots that are tested dry enough. Hay
supplies are moderate, demand is moderate. Hay prices are steady to
weak. The Missouri Department of Agriculture has a hay directory
available for both buyers and sellers. To be listed, or to view the
directory visit http://mda.mo.gov/abd/haydirectory/ for listings of
hay http://agebb.missouri.edu/haylst/ (All prices f.o.b. and per ton
unless specified and on most recent reported sales.
