Missouri Weekly Hay Summary

Week ending 9/26/19

The official start of fall came this week along with weather that is
closer to what is considered as normal. Much of the state received some
rain last weekend and into early this week. Harvest of fall grains
mostly corn at this point is underway but currently at a slow pace.
Hay activity is slow and likely to remain that way until there is some
snow flying given current pasture conditions. Hay supplies are moderate,
demand is light and prices are steady to weak. The Missouri Department
of Agriculture has a hay directory available for both buyers and sellers.
To be listed, or to view the directory visit
http://mda.mo.gov/abd/haydirectory/ for listings of hay
