Missouri Weekly Hay Summary

Week ending 10/04/19

It finally seems like more seasonable temperatures have arrived. At many
of the major weather stations around the state, September was recorded as
the hottest on record. Some heavy rains in north Missouri combined with
water releases have caused the Missouri River and several tributaries to
once again flood in some areas. Hay business is pretty much a repeat of
the last few weeks. Movement is slow and there is still some equipment in
fields, adding to hay supplies. Hay supplies are moderate, demand is
light and prices are steady to weak. The Missouri Department of
Agriculture has a hay directory available for both buyers and sellers.
To be listed, or to view the directory visit
