Week ending 10/31/19
Aside from a very nice day on Sunday this week has been quite cold with
temperatures running near 20 degrees below normal. Many areas of the
state got their first taste of winter snow much earlier than anyone would
really like. Hay supplies are moderate, demand is light and prices are
steady to weak. There continues to be several new listings of hay each
day added, however actual reported sales remain slow. The Missouri
Department of Agriculture has a hay directory available for both buyers
and sellers. To be listed, or to view the directory visit
http://mda.mo.gov/abd/haydirectory/ for listings of hay
