Most hay classes selling steady

In Nebraska and the East River area of South Dakota, alfalfa and grass hay sold unevenly steady. Dehydrated alfalfa pellets sold mostly steady, instances $5 higher. Ground and delivered hay sold steady. Demand was slow for most offerings of baled hay and moderate to good for ground and delivered hay, according to the USDA Market News Service, Dec. 29. Prices given on per-ton basis, unless otherwise noted. Due to the holiday closings some of the markets are from the last update available. In Missouri, overall hay movement is slow, supplies are moderate, demand is light and prices are steady. The next report will be updated on Jan. 4.
