Compared to last week: Hay prices sold mostly steady to 5.00 lower. Demand for hay was light to moderate this week. Producers continue to be willing to let larger quantities of hay go at slightly lower prices in an attempt to reduce the overall supply of hay. Hay supplies in the central portions of the state continue to be heavier than produces want and as a result they have reduced prices to move supplies. With colder weather and snowy conditions seen this week interest has improved over last week. Demand for straw for bedding as well as feed was good this week. Straw prices sold fully steady with last week on heavier sales volume noted. All prices are dollars per ton and FOB unless otherwise noted.
