Weekly Texas Hay Report

   Compared to last report: All hay classes traded steady on moderate 
movement.  Variety of hay and quality proves to be difficult to find 
which is typical during winter months.  Brokers anticipate prices to 
increase due to freight in the coming weeks as diesel prices climb.  The 
Panhandle continued its streak of no moisture prompting increased 
supplemental feeding of cattle.  Prices for hay and pellets quoted per 
ton except where noted.
