Weekly Texas Hay Report

   Compared to last report: Hay sold steady to 5.00 higher as demand 
increased across the state with supplemental feeding of livestock in full 
swing.  The Panhandle remained extremely dry with freezing temperatures 
prompting concern on the quantity of hay to get livestock through winter 
months.  Local winter wheat pastures are in much need of moisture.  North 
and East Texas are battling cold and feeding livestock but have had rain.  
Prices for hay and pellets quoted per ton except where noted.

Panhandle/High Plains:
