Weekly Texas Hay Report

   Compared to last report:  Hay traded unevenly steady as a variety of 
hay continues to come onto the market.  Feed yards and Dairies have been 
pushed to the top of the limit on how much they are willing to pay for 
top end Alfalfa or Coastal Bermuda but freight continues to play a large 
factor.  Variety of hay coming onto the market is being contracted to 
cheapen feed rations when available.  North and Central Coastal Bermuda 
producers received some much needed rain after fertilizing so third 
cutting chances are looking positive.  Prices for hay and pellets quoted 
per ton except where noted.
