Compared to last week, trade activity light on moderate demand. According to
the U.S. Drought Monitor’s High Plains Drought Summary for October 30, 2018, The
trend toward improvement continued across the High Plains this week as recent
moisture helped to improve both short- and long-term deficits. According to the
NASS Colorado Crop Progress report for week ending October 28, 2018, stored feed
supplies were rated 10 percent very short, 22 percent short, 66 percent
adequate, and 2 percent surplus. 4th cutting alfalfa hay was at 70 percent
harvested and Pasture and Range conditions were rated 30 percent Very Poor, 28
percent Poor, 16 percent Fair, 23 percent Good, and 3 percent Excellent. The
next available report will be Thursday, November 8, 2018. All prices reported
are FOB at the stack or barn unless otherwise noted. Prices reflect load lots
