Weekly Texas Hay Report

   Compared to last report:  All hay classes traded fully steady on good 
movement.  The Panhandle received the first snowfall in around 600 days; 
moisture was welcomed for local wheat pastures and prompted hay sales.  
Coastal Bermuda producers in the north, east and south reported a busy 
week with lots of hay movement.  Some producers were not able to get 
their 4th cutting due to early freeze so may be a shortage of hay as many 
are sold out or contracted.  Prices for hay and pellets quoted per ton 
except where noted.
