Weekly New Mexico Hay Summary

Week ending Nov 3, 2018

   Compared to last week, high quality last cutting Alfalfa hay trading
20.00-30.00 per ton higher.  Last cutting has begun in all regions, the
southeastern area of state had a light frost.  Rain showers in the south
western area have put a damper on harvest, last cutting should begin next
week.  

Eastern region: 

Baled Alfala:  Large square bales; Premium and Supreme; 270.00-300.00 per 
ton, delivered to Dairies, Good quality; 240.00-250.00 del.     

Baled wheat hay;  165.00 per ton delivered from out of state.  

Southeastern regions:

Baled Alfalfa: Large square bales: Premium and Supreme; 250.00 del;
Good quality 200.00-210.00 del to dairies.
 
Small bales; Premium and Supreme 300.00 per ton loaded on truck. 

Southern and Southwestern region:

Baled Alfalfa: Large square bales, Premium  200.00-210.00; Good quality; 
180.00-190.00; delivered to dairies.

Small bales alfalfa ; Premium and Supreme quality: 275.00 per ton; 
9.00-10.00 per bale FOB.

Sudan hay; 130.00-150.00 per ton.

North central Region: no quote
