Colorado Hay Report

   Compared to last week, trade activity and demand light.  According to the 
U.S. Drought Monitor’s High Plains summary for January 29, 2019, the region was 
mostly drier than normal for the week, with only areas of the Dakotas, southeast 
Nebraska, and eastern portions of Colorado and Wyoming receiving slightly above 
normal precipitation.  USDA NRCS Colorado SNOTEL River Basin Index percentages 
for Thursday, January 31, 2019:  Gunnison 105, Upper Colorado 113, South Platte 
114, Laramie and North Platte 105, Yampa and White 108, Arkansas 128, Upper Rio 
Grande 89, and San Miguel, Dolores, Animas and San Juan 89.  The next available 
report will be Thursday, February 7, 2019.  All prices reported are FOB at the 
stack or barn unless otherwise noted.  Prices reflect load lots of hay.  If you 
have hay for sale or need hay, use the services of the Colorado Department of
