South Dakota Weekly Hay Summary

All prices per ton, unless noted, FOB the stack.

Compared to last week: Alfalfa and grass steady with lower undertones
as inventory of high quality hay dwindles. Good demand for hay with cold
winter weather and snow returned to the area. Transportation of hay was
busy earlier in the week before the winter storms hit, but though finding
transportation for some loads continues to be an issue.
All hay and straw sold by the ton FOB, unless otherwise noted.
