Week ending 1/11/2019
The state saw another week with mostly above normal temperatures. The
forecast for the weekend however has that bad “S” word which only the
kids that get out of school like to hear. Hay interest saw a slight
uptick this week as inquires increased and several reports from more
farmers with nothing more to sale and trying to get their phones to stop
ringing. The supply of hay light to moderate. Hay prices are steady. Hay
demand is moderate to good. The Missouri Department of Agriculture has a
hay directory available for both buyers and sellers. To be listed, or for
a directory visit http://mda.mo.gov/abd/haydirectory/ for listings of hay
