Oklahoma Hay Market Report

Alfalfa trade was slow to moderate this week. Movement mostly moderate. Dairy
demand was mostly light. Demand from feedlots and other beef producerswas
moderate to good. Alfalfa movement into the state from out of state sources
was moderate to active. Grass hay demand was fairly good for good quality
Bermuda, wheat hay and native grass hay. Buyers were actively seeking
supplies of these offerings. Wet, muddy conditions persist and another round
of winter weather is expected this weekend.

Market News continues to maintain an online hay directory for both in-state
and out-of-state hay producers. The directories are on the ODAFF homepage
at www.oda.state.ok.us. Producers wishing to list hay are encouraged to call
at 1-405-522-3753 or email jack.carson@ag.ok.gov.
