Kansas Hay Market Report

Hay market trade activity is slow. Prices are steady and demand has been light 
to moderate, not surprising during the holidays. The sunny skies and mild 
temperatures over the weekend was a welcome relief from the rain, snow and 
freezing cold temperatures we experienced over the last couple weeks. Mud 
continues to be a primary aggravation for most farmers. According to the U.S. 
Drought Monitor, the abnormally dry (D0) category in southern Kansas was 
eliminated due to moderate precipitation there. If you have hay for sale, and/or

Southwest Kansas  
Dairy alfalfa, grass hay, grinding alfalfa, ground/delivered steady; movement
