Colorado Hay Report

Compared to last week, trade activity light on moderate demand. According to
the U.S. Drought Monitor’s High Plains summary for February 12, 2019, farther
west, wet-season precipitation continued to outpace normal in most of central
and western Colorado and adjacent southern Wyoming. Widespread above-normal
mountain snowpack covers most areas. Conditions have now improved enough to
finally remove the lingering D4 area in south-central Colorado and improve the
northern fringes of the D3 and D2 areas in western Colorado. USDA NRCS Colorado
SNOTEL River Basin Index percentages for Thursday, February 14, 2019: Gunnison
111, Upper Colorado 113, South Platte 108, Laramie and North Platte 107, Yampa
and White 109, Arkansas 118, Upper Rio Grande 98, and San Miguel, Dolores,
Animas and San Juan 103. The next available report will be Thursday, February
21, 2019. All prices reported are FOB at the stack or barn unless otherwise
noted. Prices reflect load lots of hay. If you have hay for sale or need hay,
