Hay was in short supply again this week as snow fall forced producers into a clean
up mode and forage growers had a hard time trying to get to where hay and straw were
stored. High quality hay was in short supply as more low quality hay was seen making
its way through the market place. Livestock producers continue to be concerned about
the availability of straw to last them through the calving season.
