Alfalfa trade was mostly moderate. Movement moderate to fairly active from
both in-state and out-of-state sources. Demand was moderate to good. Dairy
demand has increased over the past week but few new sales were reported.
Alfalfa steady to firm. Grass hay trading was fairly active on good demand
and light to moderate offerings. Severe cold along with some ice and rain
moved into the state once again increasing supplemental feeding and
diminishing supplies.
Market News continues to maintain an online hay directory for both in-state
and out-of-state hay producers. The directories are on the ODAFF homepage
at www.oda.state.ok.us. Producers wishing to list hay are encouraged to call
at 1-405-522-3753 or email jack.carson@ag.ok.gov.
