Wyoming Hay Summary

Week ending February 15, 2019

Compared to last week all reported hay sold steady. Demand was good
from out of state buyers with moderate demand from local customers. Local
demand picked up this week as some ranchers are getting closer to calving
and have started to procure different types of baled hay. Very little hay
is left to sell in the Eastern side of the state. Most sellers are
waiting patiently for semis to come pickup there purchased hay.
Seasonally weather across the state most of the week. Colder temperatures
with wind and snow are on the horizon the first part of next week through
the end of the month. All prices are dollars per ton FOB the field or hay
barn unless otherwise noted.
